AcknowledgmentsHe is grateful for meeting and working with clients over the past 26 years and for all of the friendships that have developed both professionally and personally. He also especially appreciates the clients who have become the mainstay of Atlantic Advisors, Inc.,since 1995. He is grateful for all friends and family and especially for the examples set by his father Gus Anthony and his grandparents, Anton and Alexandra Anthony. Gus, successful in the restaurant franchise business and the property management business, is now retired and continues to be an inspiration. Anton, who came to this country as a teenaged Greek immigrant, and despite the odds of very little formal education and not much money, achieved success in the confectionery business and later as a motel owner, has passed on. Alexandra who lived in Turkey near the ancient city of Troy recalled to me how it was to be forced from their home, leave all their belongings and friends and become refugees. She and her family were taken in by strangers and never forgot the kindness and generosity they were shown. Still, she recalled what is was like to not have food and learned never to take food for granted. "Yaiyai" as he knew her came to America, worked hard with "Poppy" and prospered. She has gone home as well. Recently, his brother, Byron Anthony has become the owner of a jewelry business in Ocean City, Maryland. In doing so Byron is continuing a family tradition of business ownership and Ron is very proud of Byron's latest accomplishment. |
